- Sesco Receives Minister of Employment and Labor Award as an Excellent Company in Labor-Management Cooperation Sector
Comprehensive environmental hygiene company CESCO (CEO Jeon Chan-hyuk) received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award in recognition of its achievements in ESG management and labor-management cooperation.
The award ceremony took place on the 10th at the Lotte Hotel in Sogong-dong, Seoul, during the '18th National Sustainable ESG Conference.' CESCO was selected as an excellent company in the labor-management cooperation category and received the Minister of Employment and Labor Award.
This award aims to recognize outstanding companies that exemplarily practice sustainable ESG management, enhancing corporate competitiveness and creating opportunities to actively respond to the rapidly changing global economy. The event was hosted by the Korea Journalists Association and Korea University ESG Research Institute, with support from nine central government administrative agencies including the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Welfare, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Fair Trade Commission, Financial Services Commission, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Commission for Shared Growth.
CESCO was recognized for efforts such as gender-equal personnel policies, a high proportion of regular employees and stable employment, retirement age guarantees and new employment of middle-aged workers, a culture of mutual respect and systematic internal training programs, establishment of in-house communication channels and strengthening of dedicated departments, a working culture based on scenario planning using IPSToMCLS and team systems, and the preparation of basic guardian guides to encourage employees' participation in ESG management.
CESCO is a specialized company providing customer-tailored solutions in environmental hygiene fields such as pest control, food safety, environmental appliances, foreign substance analysis, and testing and analysis. It was the first in the pest control and disinfection industry to acquire the five major standard management certifications (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 27001, 27701) and has strengthened its ESG capabilities by developing eco-friendly pest control systems and chemicals.
