The Galaxy Book4 Edge delivers a more innovative AI PC user experience through hybrid AI that supports both on-device AI and cloud AI. Users can utilize on-device AI and cloud AI simultaneously or individually as needed. On-device AI allows users to leverage AI functions while maintaining personal data security even when offline.

Notably, it is the first Galaxy Book series to offer an integrated cloud AI experience as a 'Copilot+ PC,' developed in cooperation with Microsoft (hereafter MS). The Copilot+ PC, unveiled by MS on the 20th (local time), refers to a PC optimized for MS’s generative AI operations.

The new feature 'Recall' enables users to easily search in natural language what tasks they performed at specific points in the past. It allows searching not only recently created documents and emails but also previously viewed video content via text or voice. All snapshots of the 'Recall' feature are stored on-device, and users can delete, adjust, or filter them.

With the Copilot voice function, everyday tasks such as setting alarms, searching contacts, and sending messages on mobile devices can also be handled. The keyboard includes a dedicated 'Copilot' button for quick access.

MS’s various features are also provided. 'Live Caption,' which offers real-time English subtitles, provides English captions for 44 foreign language voices regardless of the running application. 'Co-Creator' in 'Paint' transforms simple sketches into artworks or generates new images through AI. The 'Effects' feature in 'Windows Studio' allows applying filters and background effects to video conferences.

Qualcomm’s AI PC-dedicated processor 'Snapdragon X Elite,' embedded in the Galaxy Book4 Edge, supports powerful AI processing. The Snapdragon X Elite features a neural processing unit (NPU) with a processing speed of up to 45 trillion operations per second (45 TOPS). Based on on-device AI technology, it learns user information to enhance productivity and optimize AI experiences.

Connectivity with other Galaxy devices also boosts user productivity. When a Galaxy smartphone is connected via 'Link to Windows,' Galaxy AI features can be utilized not only on the smartphone but also on the PC screen. For example, the smartphone’s 'Circle to Search' and recording summary and translation functions can be synchronized and used on the PC.

The Galaxy Book4 Edge features a high-resolution Dynamic AMOLED 2X touch display and supports a touchscreen. It includes anti-reflection technology to reduce screen glare and Vision Booster, which automatically adjusts contrast and brightness. It supports a high resolution of approximately 3K and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.

The Galaxy Book4 Edge will be released in three models: one 35.6 cm (14-inch) and two 40.6 cm (16-inch) versions, characterized by a thin and lightweight design for easy portability. The 40.6 cm (16-inch) model supports up to 22 hours of video playback and offers ultra-fast charging.

The Galaxy Book4 Edge is protected by Samsung Electronics’ security platform 'Samsung Knox.' Additionally, it comes with built-in security programs and advanced firmware protection features provided by MS Windows 11.

Global sales of the Galaxy Book4 Edge, including in South Korea, will begin on the 18th of next month. Pricing will be announced later.

Notae-moon, President of Samsung Electronics’ MX Division, said, "The Galaxy Book4 Edge will not only break down the boundaries between mobile and PC and popularize experiences that transform daily life through AI technology but also expand perspectives and visions on AI connectivity. Samsung Electronics is providing a higher level of hardware and software solutions by combining the excellent usability of Galaxy AI with open collaboration with industry-leading partners."
