Supply of Disease Diagnosis Support Solution to Philippine Medical Specialists Association
Medical AI company Deepnoid announced on the 21st that it has signed an MOU with the Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists (PAMS) and De Los Santos Medical Center for the supply of the disease diagnosis support AI solution ‘DEEP:AI’.
The initiative was carried out with the aim of expanding digital healthcare to improve the health of the Filipino people. Deepnoid will supply the multi-lung disease diagnosis support solution ‘DEEP:CHEST’, the lung nodule diagnosis support solution ‘DEEP:LUNG’, and the cerebral aneurysm diagnosis support solution ‘DEEP:NEURO’.
The Philippines is one of the countries with great interest in medical AI. Comprising more than 7,600 islands, traveling between islands takes a significant amount of time. By utilizing AI software that can assist in disease diagnosis, rapid and highly accurate diagnoses are possible, enabling appropriate treatment. There is a strong need to improve the overall quality of healthcare.
Deepnoid CEO Choi Woo-sik said, "The Philippines is the medical market we are most looking forward to among Southeast Asian countries," and added, "We received a proposal for a medical AI joint venture from officials of the Philippine Medical Association." He continued, "This was initiated by requests from medical institutions," and said, "We plan to actively carry out sales activities in the promising Philippine medical market."
The MOU was established through the ‘2024 Korea-Philippines Healthcare Public Procurement Networking’. This event aimed to provide information on the major procurement markets in the Philippines and connect with local networks to secure opportunities for entering the Philippine procurement market. It was hosted by the Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists and the Korea Health Industry Development Institute.
