Korea Federation of SMEs Holds 18th Entrance Ceremony for 'Small and Medium Business CEO Program'

The Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business (Kbiz) announced on the 21st that it held the entrance ceremony for the 18th class of the 'KBIZ AMP,' its top executive program for small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

KBIZ AMP is a specialized CEO program for SMEs established by the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business in 2008 to strengthen management capabilities and activate business networks among SMEs.

With the educational goal of "cultivating respected leaders who nurture creative individuals and organizations," it has produced about 1,000 alumni over 17 classes through 2023.

The entrance ceremony held on the 20th was attended by about 70 people, including Jung Yun-mo, the full-time vice chairman of the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, Kwon Young-min, president of the general alumni association, new students of the 18th class, and senior alumni. A keynote lecture titled "2024 Trend Korea" was delivered by Professor Jeon Mi-young of Seoul National University.

In his welcoming remarks, Jung Yun-mo, full-time vice chairman of Kbiz, said, "KBIZ AMP is a top executive program directly operated by the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, the representative economic organization for SMEs. Its strengths include a differentiated curriculum, workshops, golf tournaments, hiking, and various other activities." He added, "Unlike other economic organizations, the Federation directly conveys the voices from SME sites to the government and the National Assembly, creating a policy environment conducive to business."

He continued, "As a result of continuous proposals to the government and the National Assembly, the delivery payment linkage system was introduced and is currently being implemented since last October. The corporate succession tax system has been reformed, expanding pre- and post-deduction limits and installment payment periods. We have also achieved the expansion of the foreign workforce quota to the highest level ever."

The 18th KBIZ AMP course will be operated over approximately six months, starting with the entrance ceremony keynote lecture, and will include a regular curriculum, workshops, KBIZ AMP+ breakfast special lectures, and overseas training.

The regular courses and workshops will be conducted in four modules essential for SME CEOs: ▲Leadership and Communication ▲Strategic Thinking ▲Management Essentials ▲Happy CEO. Through the KBIZ AMP+ breakfast special lectures, not only the 18th class students but also existing KBIZ AMP graduates will be able to participate, opening a venue for continuous learning. Additionally, to strengthen networking among students, a 'domestic workshop' will be held in the first half of the year, and an 'overseas workshop' in the second half.
