Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, Inspects Mapo Pet Camping Site Ahead of Opening

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the site of the Mapo Pet Camping Ground being developed within Nanji Hangang Park in Sangam-dong, ahead of its opening in June, on the 20th.

The pet camping ground being created by Mapo District goes beyond the existing dog parks where pets are simply allowed to roam off-leash or off-harness. It is a space focused on pet owners and their pets, where various leisure and cultural activities as well as pet-specialized services can all be enjoyed in one place.

On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su inspected various areas of the camping ground, including the playground where pets can run freely, camping decks, and pet restrooms, and emphasized safety.

Mayor Park Gang-su stated, “We are making every effort to create a camping ground where pet owners and their pets can feel safe and enjoy themselves,” adding, “Mapo District will do its best to make the camping ground a healing spot for pet owners and their pets.”
