LH Housing Welfare Information, a subsidiary of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), announced on the 20th that it provided customized consulting for LH public housing to a total of 660 young people through the 'Give a House, Give a Meal' project.

This project offers ways to utilize public housing from a long-term perspective tailored to individual circumstances and was conducted over three months starting in February. It was carried out through on-site consultations at easily accessible locations for youth, such as Cheongnyeon Bapsang Mungan Ewha Branch in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, Seocho Youth Center in Seocho-gu, and Gachon University in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. For young people who prefer non-face-to-face interactions, online video consultations were also implemented.
In the first consultation, LH Housing Welfare Information shared information from three perspectives: currently available (applicable) housing, moving-related checklists, and future housing options. A representative from LH Housing Welfare Information stated, "Employees who conduct professional consultations on housing information participated, providing information tailored to individual circumstances beyond what can be found online, along with specific guidance on using related apps and websites. Many responded that their usual questions were resolved."
Last month, they participated in the opening ceremony of the Seocho Youth Center held at Seocho District Office, introducing customized LH supply housing based on housing factors that young people consider important, such as cost and location. They helped young people understand life-cycle housing types such as public rental housing (Happy Housing, National Rental Housing, etc.), purchased rental housing (youth, newlyweds, newborns, multi-child families, etc.), and jeonse rental housing (youth, newlyweds, newborns, multi-child families, etc.) through simple activities, enabling them to envision their future after independence, including marriage and childbirth.
This month, in collaboration with Gachon University’s External Cooperation Team, a pop-up zone was set up at the Freedom Plaza on campus to provide on-site guidance and consulting about LH supply housing. To make it easier for 20-something students who value experience and fun rather than simple information delivery, a simplified method was used to help individuals identify suitable housing types and experience the housing independence process firsthand through activities that complete contracts.
LH Housing Welfare Information plans to strengthen inter-agency cooperation and expand customized consulting activities for public housing so that people in their 20s and 30s can settle stably in society using public housing. Park Junhyun, Director of Management at LH Housing Welfare Information, said, "We felt the enthusiasm of young people trying to find and utilize housing information on their own. We view providing information on a stable future housing environment as a key factor for the social settlement of people in their 20s and 30s. We will strengthen cooperation with institutions to respond to the nation’s low birthrate issue and develop activities that the public can feel and experience."
