Netizens are reacting to a 'letter' left by a middle school third-grade student supporting former People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon. The netizen drew attention by calling former Chairman Han 'uncle' and showing a special affection.


On the 20th, a post titled "To Uncle Han Dong-hoon, from middle school third grader ○○○ (real name)" was uploaded on the fan cafe 'With Hoony' for former Chairman Han. This post has sparked explosive reactions, surpassing 1,700 views as of 3 PM on the same day, just three hours after being posted. Likes exceeded 200, and more than 100 comments were left.

The author introduced themselves as a middle school third-grade student and revealed a 'two-shot' photo taken with former Chairman Han. In the post, the author said, "Uncle Dong-hoon, thank you for your hard work today," and asked, "Uncle, you weren't struggling alone again, right? Did you eat well?" Then, they added, "I hope you had a happy day today as well. I think my day was happy because you were happy," expressing, "I really hope so. When you are struggling, I feel like I am struggling too," showing their deep affection for former Chairman Han. They continued, "Uncle is such a precious person to me. Uncle Dong-hoon is like a lifesaver to me," and added, "I want to be helpful to such an uncle. Uncle, finish today well and let's make tomorrow another happy day."


Members of 'With Hoony' who saw the post left comments such as "That's great," "You will become a wonderful young person," "○○ (real name), fighting," "Such a warm message. Study hard too," "You are a cool and excellent student," "Thank you, ○○ (real name) student. I can feel your concern for Han Dong-hoon. Take care too, ○○ student," "○○ student! I'm jealous of your good uncle," "So touching," and "A commendable and warm-hearted student. I hope you become a smart, wise, and caring person like Han Dong-hoon in the future." The netizen who wrote the post responded to the supportive comments by leaving replies such as "Thank you. I hope everyone has a good night," and "Thank you all."


Earlier, on the previous day, Daegu Mayor Hong Joon-pyo posted and then deleted a post targeting former Chairman Han. Mayor Hong seemed to be referring to former Public Official Committee Chairman Jeong Young-hwan's evaluation that "(former Chairman Han) contributed tremendously" regarding the 22nd general election results, criticizing, "Two rookies conspired to ruin the general election, put the administration in crisis, and now shamelessly make such remarks, which makes me angry." He added, "I hope those shameless faces disappear from the political scene forever. Prepare for the special investigation that Cho Kuk is demanding."
