Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon (fifth from the right) is taking a commemorative photo with ambassadors on the 20th.
On the 20th, Gyeonggi Province appointed nine teams as ambassadors, including comedian Kim Dae-hee, actors Hyun Young and Lee Soo-kyung, singers Park Ki-young, Go Yoo-jin, and Kyungseo, announcer Park Chan-min, firefighters Hong Beom-seok and Kim Ju-hong, and the group Noreummachi.
Governor Kim Dong-yeon of Gyeonggi Province said at the ambassador appointment ceremony held alongside a volunteer lunch service for the elderly at Suwon Seoho Senior Welfare Center, "Last year, we created opportunity income for artists for the first time. We are providing opportunity income to artists and people with disabilities who create value, like today's ambassadors who do grateful work for our society."
He added, "Artists not only receive money but also take pride in being recognized for their activities. To create more opportunities for them, we are providing not only income but also opportunities for performances and exhibitions, and we are preparing an international AI film festival."
After volunteering, Governor Kim Dong-yeon had lunch and a communication session with local seniors, volunteers, and ambassadors.
Through this ambassador appointment, Gyeonggi Province plans to strengthen the promotion of key policies of the 8th local government administration and activate communication and empathy with residents through participation in cultural events.
Meanwhile, with the selection of these nine teams, the total number of Gyeonggi Province ambassadors has increased to 21 teams.
