Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do is conducting first half-year quarantine services for all 595 senior centers in the area.
According to the county on the 20th, starting from Haenam-eup on the 13th, the quarantine services will be carried out over six weeks by outsourcing to a professional disinfection company.
The disinfection work involves exterminating sanitary pests such as ants, cockroaches, and rats through internal and external disinfection of the senior centers, and also includes cleaning services to prevent various infectious diseases and create a pleasant environment.
For the safety of the elderly, disinfectants approved and reported to related agencies such as the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of Environment are used according to standard usage methods. The senior center disinfection service is also scheduled to be conducted in the second half of the year.
A county official said, “We have implemented disinfection services at senior centers so that elderly people vulnerable to infectious diseases can use them without anxiety,” adding, “We will strive to make the senior centers, where the elderly spend most of their time, more comfortable and pleasant than their own homes.”
Meanwhile, Haenam-gun is promoting various elderly welfare projects in line with the ultra-aged era, including not only the senior center巡回 clean service project but also new construction and renovation of senior centers, support for operating expenses, heating and cooling costs, food expenses, grain supply projects, water purifier rentals, air purifier distribution, support for standing tables, and support for senior center insurance enrollment.
