Jeonnam-style Youth Village Helps Youth Influx and Settlement in Yeongam Using Local Resources
Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, has opened a Jeonnam-type youth village that operates a village hotel utilizing vacant houses.
According to the county on the 20th, on the 17th, the Social Employment Policy Institute held the opening of ‘Youth Life My Cut’ at the Yeongam-eup Youth Village hub space, attended by about 100 youths and village residents.

Youth Life My Cut is a program selected in the Jeonnam-type youth village contest that helps young people attract and settle peers in the region by utilizing local resources such as rural vacant house village hotels and tourism product development, and it officially started activities with the opening ceremony on that day.
After the opening ceremony, Lee Chang-gil, CEO of the Gaehang-ro Project, and others held a ‘Local in Concert’ to celebrate the launch of the program, followed by a time for interaction between village residents and youths.
Lee Seung-woo, representative of Life My Cut Youth Village, said, “We will promote the charm of Yeongam by utilizing Yeongam’s tourism resources and help young people settle in the region.”
Woo Seung-hee, the county governor, encouraged, “We hope that various supports will be provided so that young people can live in a fun Yeongam, and that active activities will take place in the youth village where young people can lead their own growth.”
