Dong-Eui Institute of Technology Department of Clinical Laboratory Science Volunteers at Gomsul Hanmaeum Festival

Student and Professor Participation... Practicing the Value of Sharing

The Department of Clinical Laboratory Science at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology (President Kim Youngdo) recently conducted volunteer activities at the Suyeong-gu Senior Welfare Center in celebration of Parents' Day, as part of the "15th Gomsul Hanmaeum Festival."

This volunteer event was organized to express gratitude to local senior citizens and to honor the dedication of parents. Students and professors from the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology participated. The students engaged in a variety of volunteer activities, including event guidance, pinning carnations, parking lot safety management, elevator and stairway safety management, photo booth assistance, and ushering guests for congratulatory performances.

Lee Hyebin, a first-year student in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science, shared, "At the photo booth, I helped seniors dress up with props and guided them for commemorative photos for Parents' Day. I felt a great sense of fulfillment when the seniors thanked me, and I plan to participate in various volunteer activities in the future."

Kim Jongwan, head of the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science, stated, "Through continuous volunteer activities, our department will practice the value of sharing and work together with neighbors in the local community. We plan to strengthen our students' volunteering capabilities so that they can become clinical laboratory professionals with a spirit of service."
