A Total of 40 Selected... Practice-Oriented Education
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that it will operate the 1st and 2nd courses for semiconductor process equipment engineers at the 'Future Technology School' to cultivate practical semiconductor technical personnel starting from the 20th of next month.
The 'Future Technology School' is a free training program jointly organized by Gyeonggi Province, Pyeongtaek City, Pyeongtaek Industrial Promotion Agency, and Hankyong National University to train practical personnel needed in the semiconductor industry.
This training focuses on various practical courses including semiconductor process theory and industry trends, process practice, equipment maintenance practice, and semiconductor electronic and mechanical design. The city also plans to provide programs such as on-site visits to local companies, interview coaching, and employment linkage.
The training period is 40 days (320 hours), and the number of recruits is 40. Theoretical education will be conducted at Hankyong National University Pyeongtaek Campus, and practical training will take place at Korea Polytechnic University's Semiconductor Convergence Campus.
Applicants must be 15 years or older and interested in semiconductor education and employment. Pyeongtaek City residents will receive additional points during interviews. The training is free of charge, and graduates will receive a training allowance of up to 800,000 KRW.
Applications are accepted until the 13th of next month, and candidates will be selected through document screening and interviews. Online applications are accepted via the Gyeonggi Job Foundation's integrated application system 'Jobaba Apply' app.
