Expansion of Wellness Portfolio for Low-Carb, Low-Sugar Healthy Bread Brand
Protein Cube Bread, Zero-Sugar Protein Donut, and More
Samlip announced on the 20th that it is expanding its wellness portfolio by launching the healthy bread bakery brand ‘Project:H’.
Project:H is a high-protein, low-sugar bakery brand that balances taste and health by increasing protein and reducing sugars while preserving the flavor of the bread. It is the first product introduced by the ‘Future Food Research Institute,’ established by Samlip earlier this year to research health products and alternative foods.
The new product line consists of seven items. The ‘Protein Low-Sugar Cube Bread 5 types’ (Teff, Black Rice Chickpea, Squid Ink Cheese, Tomato Olive, Heungkuk Oatmeal), which can be conveniently eaten as a meal, contains an average of 13 to 17 grams or more of protein per 100g, with high dietary fiber and low sugar formulation. The ‘Protein Low-Sugar Morning Bread Teff’ features the ancient nutritious grain ‘Teff’ and contains more than 16 grams of protein per 100g. The ‘Zero Sugar Protein Donut Double Choco’ is a dessert product with no added sugar, allowing consumers to enjoy sweetness and taste without worrying about sugar intake.
Project:H products are being sold exclusively through a pre-launch event on Samlip’s official mall and Kakao Gift, and from June, they will be available for purchase through online malls such as Market Kurly and Coupang.
A Samlip brand representative said, “As a bakery-specialized company with over 70 years of accumulated baking technology, we have developed products that achieve the optimal balance of health and taste,” adding, “Through ‘daily health foods’ enriched with health and nutritional ingredients, we aim to help consumers achieve a perfect balance between the joy of eating and health, and we plan to continuously expand our wellness product line.”
Meanwhile, at the ‘2024 Samlip New Year Ceremony’ this year, Samlip announced a new corporate slogan and management strategy, presenting a blueprint to lead a healthy food culture by launching a new healthy bread brand that balances taste and health and enhances functionality to create new wellness values. Last month, they introduced ‘Bread 31,’ a nutrition-enhanced bakery containing 31 kinds of grains and seeds, and in the second half of this year, they plan to expand the lineup of the salad brand ‘Pig in the Garden’ to take the lead in creating a healthy and balanced food culture.
