Utilization of Neglected Water Supply and River Land

This temporary parking lot project follows the 'Singal-dong Water Supply Land Residential and Parking Environment Improvement Project' agreement signed last year between the city and the Korea Water Resources Corporation Gyeonggi Southeast Branch.

This area, densely populated with multi-family housing, has been facing serious safety concerns due to illegal roadside parking caused by a lack of parking spaces. Additionally, residents have consistently raised complaints about illegal farming and unauthorized dumping of garbage on national and public land.

According to the agreement, the city started construction in November last year on a temporary public parking lot that can accommodate 76 vehicles on 2,032㎡ of land provided free of charge by the Korea Water Resources Corporation, investing 240 million KRW of city funds, and completed it this month.

A city official stated, "Through collaboration with the Korea Water Resources Corporation, we were able to quickly establish the temporary public parking lot by reducing land acquisition costs. We will continue to identify national and public lands to improve parking convenience."
