Hong Jun-pyo: "Novices who ruined the general election, prepare for a special investigation"... Targets Han Dong-hoon again

Hong wrote "IQ 80 fool mocked..." then deleted the post

Daegu Mayor Hong Jun-pyo continues to take shots at Han Dong-hoon, former Emergency Response Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, and Jeong Young-hwan, former Nomination Committee Chairman.

On the 19th, Mayor Hong wrote on his Facebook, "When I teased a fool with an IQ of 80, the fool said, 'I also have an IQ of 70. Isn't that better?' This is what the former Nomination Committee Chairman said as a form of mental victory." This was a sarcastic remark aimed at Jeong Young-hwan’s evaluation the previous day regarding the 22nd general election results, where Jeong said, "If former Chairman Han Dong-hoon hadn’t come, the game wouldn’t have changed. He contributed tremendously."

Mayor Hong continued with strong criticism, saying, "Two rookies schemed together, ruined the general election, put the regime in crisis, and now shamelessly say these things, which makes me angry." He added, "I hope those shameless faces disappear from the political scene forever," and concluded with, "Prepare for the special prosecutor investigation that Cho Kuk is demanding." This post has since been deleted.

On the 17th, Mayor Hong also criticized Jeong Young-hwan and Han Dong-hoon on his Facebook, saying, "It’s absurd that the person who caused a huge defeat due to poor nomination and lack of party reform shamelessly praises themselves." He questioned, "When was it that they talked about winning 170 seats?" and warned, "From now on, people who don’t understand politics or elections should never be given the nomination power. Two rookies schemed together, ruined the election, and how can they have the face to say such things?" He added, "They should be deeply apologizing." On the 16th, Mayor Hong also lashed out at People Power Party lawmakers supporting former Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon, saying, "They became Moon Jae-in’s hunting dogs and drove us to hell, and now they shamelessly want to continue in politics under that person," urging, "Please have some shame and fulfill your role."

Meanwhile, earlier, Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, continued harsh criticism of former People Power Party Emergency Response Committee Chairman Han Dong-hoon and repeatedly expressed his determination to pass the 'Han Dong-hoon Special Prosecutor Act.' Cho said about Han, "I really don’t understand why he wants to do politics. He seems to have no thought about the suffering and trials of the people," and regarding the 'Han Dong-hoon Special Prosecutor Act' proposed during the April 10 general election, he said, "It is already prepared."
