20s Woman Dragged Half-Naked by Hamas Truck Found Dead

Israeli Forces Recover 4 Hostage Bodies
Hamas Likely Killed Them During Nova Music Festival

The Israeli military recovered the bodies of three hostages who were killed by Hamas militants at the Supernova music festival during operations in the Gaza Strip, along with one additional body that was found.

On the 18th (local time), Israeli military chief spokesperson Daniel Hagari announced at a press conference that the body of Ron Benjamin (53), who was captured by Hamas last October, was additionally discovered and recovered in the Gaza Strip.

Benjamin left a voice message for his two daughters, who were traveling abroad, at 7:30 a.m. on October 7 last year, the day Hamas's surprise attack began, saying he was riding a bicycle near the Gaza Strip separation barrier and was heading home, after which contact was lost.

The Israeli military believes that Benjamin was killed by Hamas militants at that time and his body was transported to the Gaza Strip.

On the 17th, during operations in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military recovered three bodies?those of two women, Shani Luke (22), a dual German-Israeli national, and Amat Buskila (28), as well as Itzhak Gelerente (56, male)?from an underground tunnel.

Among them, Shani Luke drew significant concern after a video circulated showing her being dragged half-naked into a Hamas truck during the surprise attack. Shortly after the Israeli military deployed ground forces into the Gaza Strip, part of her skull was also found.

Shani Luke's father, Nissim Luke, told Israeli media, "I heard that Israeli soldiers found my daughter's body in the Gaza Strip," adding, "It was in a relatively deep tunnel, and because it was very cold there, the condition of the body was very good."

The other two bodies recovered alongside Shani Luke were also believed to have been killed by Hamas militants at the Supernova music festival and then moved to the Gaza Strip. The exact location of the body discovery was not disclosed.

Among the approximately 250 hostages taken by Hamas, about 100 were released during a temporary ceasefire in November last year. However, the remaining approximately 130 hostages have been held captive in the Gaza Strip for 225 days since the war began, with an estimated 30 of them already deceased.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized, "We will continue operations to bring all the hostages home," adding, "Whether alive or dead, we will bring all the hostages back."
