"Spoke Ill of Me"… 50s Man Arrested for Beating Neighbor to Death

A man in his 50s who fatally punched his neighbor has been arrested by the police.

On the 19th, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of injury resulting in death at around 8:26 PM the previous day.

Mr. A is accused of fatally striking a neighbor in his 40s with his fist during an argument at a goshiwon. During the police investigation, Mr. A stated that "the victim was spreading bad rumors about me," indicating that they had a poor relationship.

At the time, Mr. A had been drinking but was not in a state of intoxication.

The police plan to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of the incident. Depending on the autopsy results, the charges against Mr. A may be changed from injury resulting in death to murder.
