Yeosu-si Offers Free Bicycle Inspections

Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong) announced that it will operate a 'Free Mobile Bicycle Repair Service' until November to promote bicycle use among citizens.

The 'Free Mobile Bicycle Repair Service' will be operated from 2 to 5 p.m. on designated dates and locations in each of the 27 eup, myeon, and dong areas, starting with Dolsan-eup.

The main activities include minor repairs such as tire inflation, brake puncture repair, and pad replacement, as well as parts replacement. Bicycle self-maintenance and safety education will also be provided.

An official from the city stated, "Bicycles are a zero-carbon mode of transportation, not just low-carbon, and are essential for creating a 'low-carbon green city.' We aim to contribute to promoting bicycle use and improving citizens' health by repairing bicycles that have been neglected due to minor faults."
