'World Day' (May 20) is a statutory commemorative day established in 2007 to create a society where Korean citizens and foreign residents respect each other's cultures and traditions and live together harmoniously.
On this day, more than 300 people attended, including Changwon Mayor Hong Nam-pyo, Masan Tax Office Chief Jeong Gyu-jin, Masan Customs Chief Moon Haeng-yong, Changwon Coast Guard Chief Kim Young-cheol, National Masan Quarantine Station Chief Hyeong Un-tae, members of the Ministry of Justice Social Integration Committee, and recipients of nationality certificates.

In his congratulatory speech, Mayor Hong stated, "I am very pleased to be able to commemorate World Day, which aims to respect diversity. Changwon Special City will also play a role and provide support to facilitate broader and closer exchanges with countries around the world, and to create a social environment where we understand and coexist with one another."
