Four days after the police began the search, the Gwangju Police Agency's evidence scent detection dog (German Shepherd, named Thunder) found Mr. A in a mountain behind a livestock barn near his last known location, and it was confirmed that he was in good health.

Chief Lee Eulsin stated, "We will continue to make full use of all available civilian, public, and police resources in the early stages of missing person cases to create a safe Shinan for residents."

Meanwhile, during the search period, civil servants from Anjwa and Palgeum-myeon offices, volunteer crime prevention squads, and other civilian groups actively participated in the search. The Anjwa-myeon village chiefs canceled scheduled meetings to join the search, actively cooperating to promote community policing.

Additionally, the Shinan County Council and Anjwa-myeon provided various support, such as supplying bottled water to the personnel involved in the search, sparing no effort to find the missing person.
