From October 3rd, Explore 'Everything About Camping' in Four Days
Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do, will hold the 2024 Haenam Camping Tourism Expo at the Osiano Tourist Complex this October.
According to the county on the 17th, the camping tourism expo, which will be held for four days from October 3 to 6, will see over 1,000 teams and more than 4,100 campers participating directly in camping. Visitors will also be able to explore camping cars, caravans, and the latest camping equipment showcased by over 110 camping-related companies all in one place.
The Haenam Camping Tourism Expo is in its third year and is the largest camping expo held outdoors in Korea.
Last year, at the Jeollanam-do Camping Tourism Expo, about 3,000 people from 700 camping teams participated, and 107 companies held exhibitions, attracting approximately 37,000 visitors. [Photo by Haenam-gun]
Adjacent to the beach within the Osiano Tourist Complex, there are well-equipped auto camping facilities accommodating around 200 people. In the spacious lawn plaza, companies set up facilities similar to actual campsites to attract visitors, making the event increasingly popular among camping enthusiasts.
This year, many leading camping companies such as Buffalo and Hosangsa will participate, creating exhibition spaces covering various fields including camping, caravans, and leisure.
Additionally, experiential programs such as a large-scale barbecue zone, campnic zone, and camping car city tours will be prepared for the whole family to enjoy, enhancing the fun for campers.
The expo will also feature carbon-neutral programs including a Leave No Trace campaign to promote sustainable camping culture and ESG values, upcycling and zero-waste experiences, and plogging activities.
A county official stated, “This camping tourism expo will be an opportunity to enjoy a variety of sights and activities and to see all camping equipment and supplies in one place. We will strive to revitalize the camping industry by continuously hosting camping tourism expos and laying the groundwork to grow into an international event by 2027.”
Meanwhile, the 2023 Jeonnam Camping Tourism Expo attracted about 3,700 visitors with 700 camping teams and over 3,000 participants, and 107 companies held exhibitions at the event.
