Construction company deploys about 400 dedicated workers daily, aims to complete repairs by the 24th
Muan-gun forms two on-site inspection teams to monitor daily progress
Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor pictured) has formed an on-site inspection team regarding the defect repairs of the ‘Hillstate Oryong’ apartment complex, which has been embroiled in controversy over concerns of poor construction. The team is conducting daily inspections of the repair progress and is doing its utmost to prevent any inconvenience to prospective residents.
According to the county on the 17th, on the 10th, the construction company Hyundai ENG promised responsible repair work at the headquarters level. In response to Muan-gun’s request, they have deployed more than 400 dedicated personnel daily to focus on defect repairs.
According to Muan-gun’s daily on-site inspection results, 50% of the defects in the units were repaired as of the 15th. The county has ordered that repairs be completed by the 24th through concentrated efforts so that residents can move in without any inconvenience.
Governor Kim San stated, “At a moment that should bring great joy with the move-in to a new apartment, the construction company’s careless response has caused anxiety and inconvenience.” He added, “We will thoroughly monitor the implementation of defect repairs to restore the residents’ disappointment through sincere repair work.”
Meanwhile, in Muan Oryong 2 District, starting with Hillstate Oryong, about 2,100 households are scheduled to move in within the year, including Prugio Parsena in July and Jungheung S-Class in August. Muan-gun plans to continue rigorous on-site inspections during the upcoming apartment move-ins to ensure prospective residents do not experience any inconvenience.
