Jindo-gun Imhoe-myeon Begins Operation of ‘Nanum Gotgan’ for Sharing, Emptying, and Filling

Support for Instant Foods, Groceries, and Daily Necessities for Residents Facing Economic Hardships

Imhoe-myeon, Jindo-gun, Jeollanam-do, held the opening ceremony of the ‘Imhoe Nanum Storage’ on the 16th and officially began its operation.


According to the county on the 17th, the ‘Imhoe Nanum Storage’ was established to provide daily necessities and food support to any households in crisis experiencing economic difficulties, and to promote a culture of sharing in the community as well as meticulous welfare administration.


At the opening ceremony, sponsorship donations were made by △ Kim Jeong-ho, head of Sangyeon Village in Imhoe-myeon, 1 million KRW △ Imhoe-myeon Sports Association, 1 million KRW △ Imhoe-myeon Seonjinhwe, 1 million KRW △ Oh Mun-jae from Jindo-eup, 500,000 KRW △ Gwangjin Hair Salon in Jindo-eup, 100,000 KRW, among others.

Additionally, food items were donated including 10 boxes of ramen and 5 boxes of Hetbahn (cooked rice) worth approximately 300,000 KRW from Seyoung Jimulpo in Jindo-eup, 5 instant meal sets of Ttangsu Budaejjigae worth about 70,000 KRW from Jindo-eup, 50 bags of black and white rice from Jindo-gun Saemaeul Geumgo, and seaweed worth about 100,000 KRW from Jangsu Fisheries in Heonbok-dong, Imhoe-myeon, which were presented during the opening ceremony.


Imhoe-myeon plans to actively discover sponsors and welfare blind spots centered on the local community security council, connect services, and provide visiting services by preparing Nanum Storage packages for vulnerable groups with mobility difficulties.


The discovered crisis households will be regularly monitored with care, and it is expected that the Nanum Storage will play a significant role in realizing community welfare by improving the welfare perception accordingly.


The Nanum Storage is available for use by low-income vulnerable groups in the jurisdiction on weekdays (excluding holidays) from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and donations can be made by individuals, groups, or companies.

Jo Gyu-sang, head of Imhoe-myeon, said, “We will strengthen the discovery of sponsors and promotion so that low-income vulnerable groups facing difficulties can use the Nanum Storage with peace of mind. Starting with the Nanum Storage, we will do our best to ensure that a warm donation culture spreads and that it settles as a successful welfare project representing Imhoe-myeon.”
