Communicating with Farmers in the Field
On the 16th, Uljin County Governor Son Byungbok visited Geumgangsong-myeon as part of the '2024 Citizen Service Day' on-site tour.
This visit to Geumgangsong-myeon was the third stop of the '2024 Citizen Service Day' on-site tour, which began in May, and included visits to farming sites and the Geumgangsong-myeon office.
'Citizen Service Day' is an initiative in which Governor Son Byungbok personally visits the daily lives of residents to communicate with them and resolve civil complaints or inconveniences.
First, he visited the chili pepper field in Gwanghoe 1-ri and the cabbage field in Ssangjeon 2-ri to encourage the hard work of farmers and listen to the difficulties faced in the agricultural field. He also instructed the relevant departments to promptly review the suggestions discussed on-site and to seek practical ways to help the farmers.
Afterwards, he visited the Geumgangsong-myeon office to commend the staff for their efforts in restoring damage from the heavy snowfall in February and for their emergency duty during the spring wildfire season, sharing a meal and time for communication with them.
In particular, regarding malicious civil complaints, he exchanged opinions with the staff, emphasizing that protecting employees must come first in order to provide high-quality administrative services, and stated that various measures are being sought to create a safe working environment for staff.
Governor Son Byungbok said, "We will continue to communicate and keep our promises in practice to support local farmers who are struggling due to aging and labor shortages, and realize an administration that keeps its promises."
