This year, it's all about air purifiers.

Doosan Match Play's Unique Trophy... 'This Time, an Air Purifier' This year, the winner of the Doosan Match Play will receive a set of three IQ Air air purifiers.

On the 15th of last month, the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour Doosan Match Play (total prize money of 900 million KRW) kicked off at the Nature and Garden Courses (par 72, 6,384 yards) of the Ladena Golf Club in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. The prize for becoming the 'Match Queen' is a set of three IQ Air purifiers. It is a perfect gift for many golfers troubled by fine dust.

IQ Air is a Swiss premium air purifier brand. Popular models include the space-saving design with high-performance purification capability 'Atem X', the steady seller air purifier 'HealthPro (HP250, HP100) series', the 'GC series' that captures harmful gases and odors, the personal air purifier 'Atem Desk', and the vehicle air purifier 'Atem Car'.

The Doosan Match Play is famous for offering unique winning prizes. Golf legend Park In-bi was the first beneficiary of an excavator. She claimed her first domestic tournament victory at the 2018 Doosan Match Play. Along with the 175 million KRW prize money, she received an excavator. It was the 'DX 35Z-5' model, priced at 30 million KRW, released domestically by Doosan Infracore, the title sponsor. Park In-bi gifted it to her grandfather, who runs a farm. Doosan Infracore explained, "Golf and construction machinery share the common traits of being delicate yet powerful." The excavator prize, valued at 30 million KRW, ended after two times when Doosan Infracore withdrew as a co-host in 2021.

The Doosan Match Play also attracted attention with its prize in 2022. Winner Hong Jeong-min received 200 million KRW in prize money along with a coffee robot. The unmanned caf? robot 'Dr. Presso', produced and sold by Doosan Robotics, a Doosan Group affiliate, was awarded as the winner's prize. 'Dr. Presso' is a 'barista robot' that makes coffee. It takes orders, grinds coffee beans, extracts coffee, and serves it.

The types of coffee and beverages it can make are virtually unlimited depending on the program. However, considering ingredient preparation, 10 types of coffee and 5 types of beverages are typical. Doosan Robotics developed and distributed it in October 2021. It is installed and operated in several large buildings in Seoul, including the Doosan Group headquarters and Doosan Tower in Dongdaemun. It can operate 24 hours a day, making it ideal for large buildings with many night shift workers. It is equipped with a function to close the cup lid when serving. If the winner wanted to rent a suitable space and operate an unmanned caf? with 'Dr. Presso', installation would be provided. Hong Jeong-min declined and received about 30 million KRW in cash instead.
