Works by Oh Jeong-yeon of Asan Elementary School and Oh Su-a of Mosan Middle School./Chungnam Province
Chungnam Province held a drawing contest in March to commemorate World Water Day, where students Oh Jeong-yeon and Oh Su-a received the grand prize.
According to the province on the 17th, 111 entries were submitted from 56 schools for this contest. In the judging, Oh Jeong-yeon from Asan Elementary School won the grand prize with the work "If We Save One Drop, Two Drops, We Protect Our Lives," and Oh Su-a from Mosan Middle School received the grand prize with the work "Water! The Treasure That Protects Our Lives."
In addition, 2 students were awarded the excellence prize, 4 received the merit prize, 27 were given special selections, and 45 were selected for honorable mentions.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Environment Day celebration on June 5.
A provincial official stated, "We hope this contest serves as an opportunity to raise awareness among the younger generation about the importance of water," adding, "We will continue to encourage public interest in clean water."
