Crown Haitai Confectionery announced on the 17th that it will hold a special exhibition at Seoul Ttukseom Hangang Park to celebrate the 100th edition of the sculpture exhibition "Gyeonsaeng (見生) Sculpture Exhibition," which is organized together with sculptors and local governments.

The special exhibition, held over three months, will showcase a total of about 40 works under the theme "Steps That Linger." It will be an open-air sculpture gallery without a roof, allowing all citizens to enjoy beautiful sculptures harmonizing with the magnificent scenery of the Hangang River.
At the 100th anniversary event held the day before, about 100 people attended, including Yoon Young-dal, Chairman of Crown Haitai Confectionery, Choi Kyung-joo, Head of Seoul City Cultural Headquarters, around 60 sculptors, and about 20 local government officials. Attendees appreciated the exhibited works and celebrated the milestone of the Gyeonsaeng Sculpture Exhibition.
The Gyeonsaeng Sculpture Exhibition, whose name means "Seeing (見) brings life (生)," began with an exhibition at Seoul Plaza in October 2016. Companies and local governments have joined hands to transform familiar everyday spaces like parks into outdoor sculpture galleries, conveying the beauty of culture and arts. Participating artists find that increased exhibition opportunities serve as a driving force to elevate the quality of their artistic activities.
Over the past eight years, the Gyeonsaeng Sculpture Exhibition has been held in 19 regions nationwide, including the metropolitan area, Gokseong, Jeonju, and Andong. During this time, 256 sculptors have participated, exhibiting over 2,000 works and sharing the beauty of sculpture art with more than one million visitors. Exhibitions in provincial areas, where opportunities to enjoy sculpture art were previously limited, are gradually increasing in importance.
A Crown Haitai Confectionery official stated, "Taking the 100th exhibition as an opportunity, we plan to visit various regions nationwide so that more people can encounter sculpture works."
