Monthly Average Visits Increased Over Twofold from 230,000 to 530,000
New Openings in Major Commercial Areas Including 'Shop-in-Shop' Stores
MUSINSA STANDARD announced on the 17th that the cumulative number of visitors to its offline stores has surpassed 7 million.
This achievement was made by opening up to the 10th store within three years since the first store opened near Hongdae Entrance in Seoul in May 2021.
This year, MUSINSA STANDARD has been continuously launching 'shop-in-shop' stores operated within large retailers' shopping malls and department stores. In March, the 7th store, MUSINSA STANDARD Lotte Mall Suwon, was opened, followed by expansions to Hyundai Department Store Jungdong (8th store), Starfield Suwon (9th store), and AK Plaza Bundang (10th store).
As a result of steadily expanding offline touchpoints, the number of customers visiting the stores has rapidly increased. The annual number of visitors, which was about 1.53 million in 2022, rose by 81% to approximately 2.77 million in 2023. The average monthly offline visitors have also more than doubled each year, from about 70,000 in 2021 to approximately 127,400 in 2022, 230,000 in 2023, and 526,700 in 2024. As of early this month, the cumulative number of visitors has exceeded 7 million. Considering the planned new store openings scheduled for the end of this year, it is expected that the cumulative visitor count will surpass 10 million within this year.
MUSINSA STANDARD was launched as an online-based fashion brand in 2017 and first introduced an offline store in Hongdae on May 28, 2021. MUSINSA's exclusive stores include MUSINSA STANDARD Gangnam (July 2022), MUSINSA STANDARD Dongseongro (September 2023), MUSINSA STANDARD Seongsu (November 2023), MUSINSA STANDARD Seomyeon (December 2023), and MUSINSA STANDARD Myeongdong (March 2024).
A MUSINSA STANDARD representative said, “By listening to customers who wanted to experience the brand directly, we were able to open 10 stores within three years of launching offline stores and meet a cumulative total of 7 million customers.”
