Digital Daesung Plans 500 Won Year-End Dividend This Year... Largest Dividend Ever

Digital Daesung, an educational content platform company, will increase its weekly dividend from 200 KRW to 500 KRW.

As part of shareholder profit return and shareholder-oriented management, Digital Daesung announced that it plans to pay a year-end dividend of 500 KRW per common share for the "2024 fiscal year." The number of dividend-eligible shares is 26,203,600 shares, excluding treasury stock from the total issued shares, and the total dividend amount is 13.1 billion KRW. The dividend record date is December 31.

This is the largest scale since the company started paying year-end dividends in 2012. The dividend of 500 KRW per share is 2.5 times higher than last year's dividend of 200 KRW. Based on the closing price of 6,980 KRW on the 14th, the dividend yield is 7.16%.

Kim Heeseon, CEO of Digital Daesung, said, "We have recorded the highest sales every year for the past 10 years," adding, "As continuous growth is expected this year and next, we will participate in the government's value-up program." She continued, "This reflects our commitment to sharing business results with shareholders who have consistently trusted and invested in Digital Daesung's growth."

CEO Kim explained, "After passing the seasonal low in the first quarter, the growth in existing businesses as well as the acquisition of Uidae-gwan will make the performance growth trend more evident in the second half," and added, "Next year, we expect the performance of Uidae-gwan, which has completed expansion, to be fully reflected."
