Targeting Food Alleys in Jung-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Mapo-gu, etc.

Hyundai Green Food announced on the 16th that it is recruiting participants for the 'Everyone's Restaurant Alley Commercial District Edition,' a project to develop signature dishes from small business-operated restaurants into Home Meal Replacements (HMR) in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The recruitment targets are small business owners operating restaurants in five representative food alleys of Seoul: Jangchungdan-gil (Jung-gu), Seonyuro-un (Yeongdeungpo-gu), Yangjaecheon-gil (Seocho-gu), Oryu Beodeul-gil (Guro-gu), and Haneul-gil (Mapo-gu). Applications can be submitted through the respective shopping district merchant associations or online until the 16th of next month.

Everyone's Restaurant is Hyundai Green Food's win-win brand that selects local popular restaurants and helps launch their signature dishes as HMR products. Previously, in October last year, the project selected five popular restaurants within Seoul's traditional markets such as Haengdang Market and Myeongok Market and introduced six new products in the 'Traditional Market Edition.' In total, the Everyone's Restaurant project has been conducted three times.

Hyundai Green Food plans to select five popular restaurants in alley commercial districts through joint screening with the Seoul Metropolitan Government and support the entire process including HMR production, distribution, and marketing. The finally selected restaurants will jointly develop products and launch them in November through Hyundai Department Store's all branches' Hyundai Food Hall and Hyundai Green Food's official online mall, Greeting Mall. Additionally, plans to expand sales channels through major distribution networks such as Hyundai Food Hall ToHome, Kurly, and Coupang are also under consideration.

A Hyundai Green Food official stated, "Small business owners often want to commercialize their menus as HMR products but face difficulties in securing expertise in investment costs, mass production, and hygiene management." He added, "Through the Everyone's Restaurant project, we will select competitive popular restaurants and assist in product development to secure new sales channels for the restaurants, and furthermore, contribute to promoting the restaurants and food alleys."
