Yogiyo has expressed "sincere apologies" for the controversy caused by its Teacher's Day event marketing.

On the 15th, Yogiyo posted a statement on its official website saying, "We sincerely apologize for the inappropriate phrase used in the Teacher's Day event."

Yogiyo explained, "Although we have an internal monitoring process for messages delivered at customer touchpoints, this process did not function properly during the use of the phrase in this event."

It added, "We will review our internal system to ensure sufficient monitoring and careful review of external messages so that such incidents do not happen again."

Previously, Yogiyo had written the phrase "If you buy School Food, I'll call you Teacher" on its School Food event page. This sparked criticism that the marketing was mocking teachers. After the phrase became controversial, School Food posted an apology on its own website.
