Israeli Military Tanks Enter Rafa Residential Area... Evacuation in Progress

Israel is maintaining its stance to proceed with a ground offensive in Rafah, Palestine, where over one million refugees have gathered, as major media outlets including The Guardian reported on the 14th (local time) that Israeli military tanks have entered residential areas of Rafah, leading to clashes.

According to reports, Israeli tanks advanced eastward into Rafah, reaching some residential areas. Clashes are occurring within the city of Rafah, and the tanks are strategically crossing Salah al-Din Road to enter the Brazil and Jenin areas, foreign media cited local witnesses as saying.

A United Nations (UN) official also stated that the leading Israeli forces are approximately 2 km away from their office. Hamas claimed that they attacked Israeli military transport vehicles with missiles in the eastern Al Salam area, resulting in the deaths of some crew members, but the Israeli military declined to comment on this.

Meanwhile, despite international calls for restraint, the Israeli military is persisting with its plan to deploy ground forces in Rafah, prompting 360,000 to 500,000 Palestinians to flee Rafah just last week. Additionally, 100,000 people have fled from northern Gaza, where the Israeli military launched a series of operations over the weekend.
