Exciting Happy Shopping... Eunpyeong-gu Hosts 'Donghaeng Festival' at 5 Traditional Markets and Shopping Districts

Eunpyeong-gu (District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) announced that from the 16th to the 22nd, the ‘Korea Together Festival’ will be held at five traditional markets and shopping districts to overcome the economic downturn and stimulate consumption.

Now in its fifth year, the ‘Together Festival’ is the largest domestic consumption promotion event involving traditional markets, shopping districts, small and medium enterprises, and small business owners. The participating locations are ▲Yeonseo Market ▲Jeil Market ▲Bulgwang Food Alley Shopping District ▲Daejo Market ▲Daerim Alley Market, totaling five places.

From the 16th to the 18th, events will be held at Yeonseo Market, Jeil Market, and Bulgwang Food Alley Shopping District. Daejo Market will hold events from the 22nd to the 24th, and Daerim Alley Market will hold events from the 24th to the 26th.

Common events include a raffle for customers who purchase items worth 10,000 won or 30,000 won. Each market will host a variety of events such as children’s shopping and market experiences, plogging events for hikers of Bukhansan Mountain, experiential events for family visitors, talent shows and cultural performances, and playground experiences in the alley markets.

For detailed information regarding the traditional market events, inquiries can be made by phone to each market’s merchants’ association or the Job Economy Division.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “I hope that the Together Festival will revive the weakened consumer sentiment, ease the difficulties of merchants, and become a venue for revitalizing the local economy. I ask local residents to visit the markets and shopping districts in the area frequently.”
