Performance Held to Wish for Gyeongju's Bid to Host the 2025 APEC Summit
Wolsong Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power sponsored the "2nd Yangnam-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee Program Presentation and Residents' Harmony Festival," hosted by the Yangnam-myeon Residents' Autonomy Committee, held on the lawn at Hanmaeum Hill on the 14th.
Hansung Kim, head of the Wolseong Headquarters, and residents of Yangnam-myeon are holding support placards expressing their desire for the continued operation of Wolseong Units 2, 3, and 4, and performing a demonstration.
This event was a presentation where participants of the Residents' Autonomy Committee's cultural lecture programs, part of Wolsong Headquarters' local support initiatives, showcased the artistic skills they had honed. It was held as a festival to promote harmony among the residents of Yangnam-myeon.
Approximately 800 residents of Yangnam-myeon attended the event, along with key guests such as Gyeongju City Council members Joo Dongryeol and Oh Sangdo.
Kim Hansung, Head of Wolsong Headquarters, said, "I hope that the 2025 APEC Summit can be hosted in our well-prepared international conference city, Gyeongju," and added, "As long as our Wolsong Headquarters exists, we will continue to support cultural performances like today's event for 20 or 30 years. I ask for your support so that the continued operation of Wolsong Units 2, 3, and 4 can proceed for the next 20 or 30 years, and for the opportunity to do so."
The event was filled with performances by program participants, including Samulnori, ocarina, Arang Janggu, yoga, Japanese language, line dance, and folk songs. The event concluded successfully with Jang Jeongil, Director of External Cooperation, hosting a prize drawing.
