"Cheaper than in France"... Emart Opens 'Super Wine Festa'

Major Liquor Event Wine Market Greatly Expanded
"Two Hands Magnum 3 Types 49,000 Won"

Emart announced on the 15th that the first season of the ‘Super Wine Festa’ will open from the 17th.

This event replaces Emart’s largest liquor event, the Wine Market, which was held every May and October. This year, the event period has been significantly extended to a '2-week relay.' The first week, from the 17th to the 23rd, will focus on wine as the ‘Super Wine Festa,’ and the second week will be the ‘Liquor Week,’ selling whiskey, traditional liquor, and more.

"Cheaper than in France"... Emart Opens 'Super Wine Festa'

First, the 'Two Hands Magnum 3 Types,' offered at retrograde prices during the ‘Super Wine Festa,’ are large-capacity 1.5ℓ wines sold at 49,800 KRW each during the event. This price is 17% cheaper than the Wine Market event held a year ago.

For customers who prefer premium wines, 'Textbook, Napa Cabernet Sauvignon (750㎖, USA)' and 'Champagne Drappier, Claire Vall?e NV (750㎖, France)' are offered at 49,600 KRW and 68,800 KRW respectively with a 20% discount when paid with the event card.

There are also wines cheaper than overseas prices. 'Henri Champliau Brut Authentic, Cr?mant de Bourgogne NV (750㎖, France)' is sold overseas for 30 USD, which converts to about 41,040 KRW applying the exchange rate of 1,368 KRW (as of the 13th), but Emart sells it about 40% cheaper at 24,800 KRW.

At Traders, the representative premium champagne ‘Perrier-Jou?t Belle Epoque (750㎖, France)’ is offered at 195,860 KRW with a 30% discount when paid with a Samsung Card. The ‘M Moscato DOCG (750㎖, Italy)’ and ‘A XI Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (750㎖, USA),’ exclusively available at large marts, are sold at 9,786 KRW and 17,504 KRW respectively with 30% and 20% discounts when paid with a Samsung Card.

Myung Yong-jin, Emart’s wine buyer, said, “We planned the event with attractive prices that can offset the recent high exchange rates and increased raw material costs,” adding, “You can look forward to a wine festival worthy of the name ‘Super Wine Festa.’”
