Gobyungil, President of Gwangju Bank, Pays Tribute at the National 5·18 Democratic Cemetery

On the 14th, Gwangju Bank paid tribute to the National May 18th Democratic Cemetery ahead of the 44th anniversary of the May 18 Gwangju Democratization Movement, honoring the spirits of the democratic martyrs.

About 50 executives and employees, including Gwangju Bank President Ko Byung-il, participated in the memorial service, commemorating the noble spirit of sacrifice in the democratization movement and reflecting on the value of democracy.

President Ko Byung-il said to the participating staff, “Let us deeply engrave in our hearts the spirit of the May martyrs who sacrificed for democracy and human rights,” adding, “As the representative bank of Gwangju and Jeonnam, we will inherit the spirit of the May 18 community, coexist with local residents, and strive to overcome the difficult local economy together.”
