Kots Technology Reports Q1 Sales of 9.1 Billion Won, Up 21% YoY

Kots Technology (CEO Jowon Jo), a company specializing in SBC (Single Board Computer)-based defense industry embedded systems, announced on the 14th.

According to the performance disclosed by Kots Technology, sales in the first quarter of this year reached 9.1 billion KRW, a 21% increase compared to the same period last year. Operating profit was 1.1 billion KRW, and net profit was 900 million KRW, increasing by 448% and 667%, respectively.

The company cited overseas exports and the full-scale domestic mass production as the main factors for achieving the first-quarter results.

A representative of Kots Technology explained, “The export of the K2 tank, which is equipped with our products, has expanded significantly, leading to this quarter’s strong performance. The mass production of products involved in domestic weapon system development has been fully implemented, showing significant growth not only in overseas sales but also in domestic sales.”

Currently, with the prolonged Russia-Ukraine war and conflicts in the Middle East, geopolitical tensions worldwide have escalated, and last year, global military expenditure reached an all-time high. This situation has led to increased orders for defense companies worldwide, and domestic defense companies are also expected to benefit from this global trend.

In particular, the importance of advanced defense computers requiring vast data processing technology is increasing, and demand for defense embedded systems, Kots Technology’s core business, is expected to continue growing.
