Among leader respondents, 71% preferred candidates with AI capabilities over those with experience, and Korean leaders prioritized AI skills in hiring at a high rate of 77%.
MS stated, "This year will be the year AI becomes a reality in the workplace," adding, "Organizations must leverage AI not only to improve simple tasks but also to accelerate growth, manage costs, and provide greater value to customers by creating positive changes across their entire business models."
Jo Won-woo, CEO of Microsoft Korea, said, "With the emergence of generative AI, the way technology and humans interact is fundamentally beginning to change for the first time since smartphones," and added, "A noteworthy point in this report is that AI will offer great opportunities to leaders seeking suitable talent and employees hoping for career transitions."
