OpenAI, a leader in generative AI, unveiled a new AI model called 'GPT-4o (GPT-Poo)'. The 'o' stands for 'omni,' meaning everything. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, posted 'her' on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after unveiling 'GPT-4o'. He also praised it, saying, "The new voice and video modes are the best computer interfaces I have ever used."
Altman said, "It feels like the AI in the movie, and it's a bit surprising that this is reality," adding, "Reaching human-level response time and expressiveness is a major change."
Altman's 'her' refers to the 2013 movie where the protagonist, a letter-writing ghostwriter, falls in love with an AI named 'Samantha.'
ESTsoft developed Perso, a generative AI platform based on big data from 30 million users. It can complete AI human videos in just one minute.
Earlier, on the 8th, ESTsoft launched the AI Perso portal's SaaS in the global market. At launch, the service was integrated with Microsoft Office Korea, highlighting strengthened collaboration between the two companies centered on AI. The AI Perso portal bundles ESTsoft's AI-related services into a single SaaS product, offered as a subscription service.
ESTsoft is expanding its scale by achieving results in its new AI business sector. The company recorded consolidated sales of 25.7 billion KRW in the first quarter, a 28.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Although operating losses continued during the same period, the deficit size shrank, increasing the possibility of turning profitable.
A company representative said, "With the recent launch of AI software-as-a-service (SaaS) products, the company is steadily preparing new growth engines," adding, "Through continuous efforts to improve our structure, we internally expect the performance improvement trend to continue through the second and third quarters."
