Daegu City has launched the 'Good Job (Good Job) Bus,' a visiting employment counseling service for women with career interruptions and unemployed women seeking jobs. The Good Job Bus will operate on the 20th from 11 a.m. near Jincheon Station on Daegu Metro Line 1, at the E-Mart Wolbae branch.
This event is organized by the Sindalseo Women's New Work Center and will involve 11 companies aiming to hire 31 women. It will be divided into direct hiring, where on-site interviews lead to immediate employment (2 companies, 2 people), and indirect hiring, where job seekers are recommended to the companies (9 companies, 29 people).
The Good Job Bus employment counseling event held last year at E-Mart Wolbae Branch in Dalseo-gu, Daegu.
The two companies conducting on-site interviews are Nanum Jae-ga Senior Welfare Center and Daegu Happy School Foundation. The nine companies involved in indirect hiring include Cafe Comma, BSG Co., Ltd., Hyobaekse Jae-ga Welfare Center, Suwol Oriental Medicine Hospital, Chamjoeun Nursing Home, Community Child Center, Samsung Oncare Nursing Home, Hyundai Medical Foundation Dalseong Nursing Hospital, and Daecheon Senior Welfare Center.
The recruitment positions include after-school teachers, home and facility care workers, baristas, general office workers, social workers, nursing assistants, hospital administrative staff, and life welfare workers.
Additionally, various free employment support services are provided, such as one-on-one customized employment counseling considering individual career, age, and career interruption period, job vacancy and job seeker information, guidance on vocational training courses, and information on linked support projects in Dalseo District.
This event is held at E-Mart Wolbae branch to enhance accessibility for local residents and job seekers. Participants seeking employment will be offered beverages and souvenirs to motivate job seeking during registration and counseling.
If visiting on-site on the day is difficult, inquiries can be made to the Sindalseo Women's New Work Center, where customized job counseling considering career, age, and desired job type, employment linkage, and post-employment follow-up services are also available.
Song Ki-chan, Director of Youth and Women Education Bureau of Daegu City, said, “The Good Job Bus & Cafe is scheduled to operate five times in the first half of this year out of a total of ten sessions, with three sessions in May, the month of family. We hope many people participate, gain job information, succeed in employment, and have a May full of happy news.”
