Busan Office of Education Launches Full-Scale Operation of Neulbom Program for Equestrian Experience Learning

A Total of 11 Sessions Held at LetsRun Park Until July 26

Following the launch of the Jagalchi Market Neulbom Experience Program on the 8th, the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education is accelerating the operation of Neulbom School in collaboration with the local community.

On the 10th, the Office of Education operated the "Horse Industry Job Experience Neulbom" program for 20 students participating in Cheonga Elementary School's Neulbom School at Let's Run Park in Gangseo-gu.

This program is based on the business agreement signed in April between the Busan Office of Education and the Korea Racing Authority Busan-Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters, and it is the nation's first learning-type Neulbom program featuring horseback riding experience.

The Office of Education will operate the program free of charge for about 20 Neulbom School students per session, 11 times every Friday until July 26.

Participating students engage in horse-related activities such as stable tours, horseback riding experiences, sensory experiences, and veterinarian job experiences. The Office of Education also provides vehicles to ensure the safe transportation of students.

A Cheonga Elementary School student who participated in the first program on the 10th said, "The horse was so big that I was scared at first, but after touching it, feeding it, and listening to its breath with a stethoscope, I felt it was friendly," and "Riding the horse made me feel much taller, and it was amazing to feel like I was moving along every time the horse walked."

Ha Yun-su, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, "I am honored to provide students with a new type of experience program utilizing Busan's unique local infrastructure," and added, "I hope that this healing experience through animals will greatly help students' emotional stability and growth."
