Creating Trick Art to Promote Sacheon Sea Fish Species
Located in Dongsogeum-dong, Sacheon-si, Gyeongnam, the area around Palsipnyeon Bridge has been transformed into the ‘Sacheon Sea Fish Species Trick Art Photo Zone,’ emerging as a new hot spot in Sacheon where visitors can enjoy a unique experience.
On the 13th, the city reported that residents of Dongsogeum-dong proposed the idea of creating trick art featuring sea fish species to provide anglers with information about fish species and offer tourists a special attraction.
Accordingly, the city selected the ‘Sacheon Sea Fish Species Trick Art Photo Zone’ as a 2024 resident participation budget project, involving residents in the entire process from site and design selection to completion.
The trick art photo zone vividly depicts representative fish species of Sacheon Sea, such as the pink finless porpoise, black porgy, red seabream, flounder, and rockfish, as if they are about to jump out of the sea.
Trick art is a technique that uses scientific painting methods to create three-dimensional images on flat surfaces, making the pictures appear lifelike through optical illusions.
Visitors, including anglers and tourists, are expected to enjoy a unique and delightful experience by taking photos with the sea fish and amusing images depicted in the artwork.
A city official stated, “We hope this trick art photo zone will provide a unique enjoyment to visitors of the Palpo Food Specialty District while promoting our city’s sea fish species. The call for proposals for the 2025 resident participation budget projects is currently underway, and we encourage many to participate.”
