On the 13th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it received an Excellence Award at the '2024 Gyeonggi Province Land Information Work Innovation Seminar' held at the Northern Office of Gyeonggi Provincial Government on the 9th.

This seminar is an annual event hosted by Gyeonggi Province to promote exchange among cadastral work personnel and the development of the cadastral field. At this seminar, 10 cadastral research projects that passed the preliminary evaluation were presented.
Pyeongtaek City’s Gwak Sang-ho, an officer from the Land Information Division, presented a research project titled "Management Plan for Cadastral Control Points Centered on the Competent Authority Using Spatial Information Analysis Techniques." This project proposed a method to objectively select new installation sites for cadastral control points through spatial information analysis techniques, aiming to establish a cadastral control point management system centered on the cadastral competent authority and improve the efficiency of budget execution. As a result of the final evaluation, the project received an Excellence Award.
A city official stated, "We will continue to strive to provide cadastral administrative services that satisfy all citizens and to enhance the work capabilities of cadastral public officials."
