Jeongeup-si to Host Byeollara Travel Festival on the 15th at National Jeonbuk Meteorological Science Museum

Jeongeup City in Jeollabuk-do will hold the "24th Star Country Travel Festival" at the National Jeonbuk Meteorological Science Museum from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the 15th.


According to the city on the 13th, this festival offers various science-making experience booths such as LED black holes and solar-powered ultraviolet glow bracelets, as well as opportunities to observe celestial bodies through telescopes and try being a weathercaster.

The festival will feature performances and quiz competitions, and a special lecture titled "Stories of the Night Sky through Astrophotography" will be given by astrophotography expert Kwon Oh-cheol.


Additionally, a smartphone astrophotography contest designed to increase understanding and interest in astronomy among children and teenagers will offer generous prizes including telescopes.


A city official stated, "We will strive to make the Star Country Travel Festival a festival that cultivates curiosity and inquiry about space and astronomy among young people."
