Busan City Holds 8th Dongnae-gu Edition of '15-Minute City Vision Tour Season 2'

Held at Busan Social Welfare Comprehensive Center at 2:30 PM on the 13th

On the 13th at 2:30 PM, Busan City will hold the ‘15-Minute City Vision Tour Season 2: Dongnae-gu Edition’ at the Busan Social Welfare Comprehensive Center.

The event will be attended by about 150 people, including Mayor Park Hyung-jun, Dongnae-gu District Chief Jang Jun-yong, newly elected National Assembly member Seo Ji-young, local businesspeople, and the Sympathy Policy Group. The program will proceed in the order of a PT presentation, policy briefing, discussion and Q&A, followed by a performance and commemorative photo session.

The 15-Minute City is a journey created together with citizens. Unlike past visits to autonomous districts and counties that focused on meeting residents, the city planned the ‘15-Minute City Vision Tour’ in stages with the intention of communicating policies based on policy agendas.

While Season 1, conducted last year, aimed to share the vision of the 15-Minute City, Season 2, promoted this year, targets activating citizen participation throughout the entire policy cycle, including policy planning, decision-making, execution, and evaluation.

Vision Tour Season 2 began in March with Sahagu and is being sequentially promoted across 16 autonomous districts and counties. This event is the eighth in the series and will be held in Dongnae-gu.

At the event, local residents will directly propose the project ‘Construction of the 2nd National Sports Center in Dongnae-gu,’ and participants will engage in discussions and preference surveys on this topic.

The ‘Construction of the 2nd National Sports Center in Dongnae-gu’ is a project investing a total of 35 billion KRW by 2027 to build a community-oriented sports center with a total floor area of approximately 7,228㎡ in the Nakmin-dong area. The center will include various facilities such as a swimming pool, indoor surfing area, fitness center, aqua aerobics room, and multipurpose rooms for residents.

Mayor Park Hyung-jun stated, “Since the policy task is both a conceptual plan and a proposed project, we plan to proceed sequentially after detailed planning and consultations with Dongnae-gu Office and related organizations.” He added, “We ask for the continuous interest and support of citizens in promoting policy projects closely related to the daily lives of local residents.”
