Rain is expected nationwide over the weekend of the 11th and 12th. Jeju will experience heavy rainfall of up to 120mm or more until tomorrow. Rain in Seoul, Incheon, and northern Gyeonggi will begin to stop from late at night.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 11th, rain will start in the morning in Seoul, Incheon, northern Gyeonggi, and inland northern Gangwon, spreading to the central region, Honam, and Jeju from the afternoon, and expanding nationwide from night.


The rain will mostly stop in the central region and Jeolla area by dawn on the 12th, but will continue until morning in the southern coast of Jeollanam-do and Yeongnam, and in some parts of Jeju until the morning.


During periods of concentrated rainfall, precautions should be taken against flooding in low-lying areas. In the central region and North Jeolla, strong rain of around 10mm per hour is expected from evening on the 11th to early dawn on the 12th. Except for North Jeolla, the southern regions and Jeju will experience heavy rain of 10 to 20mm per hour from night on the 11th.


The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "Gusty winds will blow near the southern coast, around Jirisan, and Jeju, with sporadic thunder and lightning accompanying heavy rain in some areas. Since heavy rain is expected again mainly in Jeju and the southern coast, where recent heavy rainfall occurred, additional damage is a concern, so please be especially cautious."


By the 12th, heavy rainfall of up to 120mm or more is expected in the mountainous areas of Jeju, and up to 80mm or more near Busan, the southern coast of Gyeongnam, and around Jirisan.

Strong winds with instantaneous speeds around 55 km/h are expected in most parts of the country, so special attention should be paid to facility management, safety accidents, wildfire prevention, and various fire hazards.


On the 12th, very strong gusts exceeding 70 km/h may occur along the west coast, Gangwon Yeongdong, northeastern mountainous areas of Gyeongbuk, the east coast of Gyeongbuk, and Jeju, as well as the eastern southern coast of Jeonnam and the southern coast of Gyeongnam, with the possibility of strong wind warnings being issued.


The sky will be cloudy nationwide on the 11th, but starting from dawn on the 12th in the central region, most areas will regain clear skies. The daytime high temperature is forecast to be between 20 and 27 degrees Celsius. The low temperature on the 12th will be 8 to 18 degrees, and the high temperature 19 to 25 degrees.


The West Sea offshore area, where a wind and wave advisory has been issued, will experience very strong winds of 35 to 60 km/h until the afternoon of the 11th, and the central East Sea offshore area will have similarly strong winds until the afternoon of the 12th, with waves reaching 2.0 to 4.0 meters in height.


From the 11th to the 12th, sea fog is expected in the West Sea, South Sea, and Jeju coastal waters, and on the 12th in the East Sea. Gusts accompanied by thunder and lightning are expected mainly in the South Sea and Jeju coastal waters.
