Gimhae City Rolls Up Sleeves for Youth Employment... Specialized High Schools-Youth Job Fair Held

Gimhae City in Gyeongnam will hold the ‘2024 Specialized High School-Youth Employment Fair’ at the Gimhae Culture and Sports Center on the 14th.

As part of the 2024 Vocational Education Innovation District project, the city announced that it is promoting the fair to nurture customized technical talents in the biomedical and future car sectors, creating a meeting place between local companies and specialized high school students to lead to employment.

The event will be jointly participated by local specialized high schools ▲Gimhae Construction Technical High School ▲Gimhae Hanil Girls' High School ▲Jinyeong Jeil High School ▲Gimhae Life Science High School, as well as ▲Gyeongnam Office of Education ▲Inje University ▲Gaya University ▲Gimhae University ▲Gimhae Youth Center Gimhae Youth Daom ▲Gimhae City Job Support Center.

The fair venue will be divided into the ‘Specialized High School Zone’ and the ‘Youth Zone,’ operating a total of 45 booths, and employment connections are expected for about 600 students and youth from 24 companies.

In the Specialized High School Zone, a total of 14 recruiting companies, including 9 local biomedical companies and 5 future car-related companies, will participate in recruitment activities targeting about 400 specialized high school students.

In the Youth Zone, 10 companies seeking to hire youth, 3 universities, and about 200 youth will meet, with recruitment and job seeking expected in various fields such as production and management.

Job seekers can receive on-site recruitment interviews with participating companies on the day, as well as various job information, and employment-related services such as Korean-style MBTI tests, resume consulting, employment tarot, and personal color tests.

Mayor Hong Taeyong said, “I hope that people will get jobs at excellent companies through the employment fair and work and stay in Gimhae,” adding, “We will make further efforts to attract outstanding companies so that our students and youth can settle down in Gimhae without leaving for other regions.”
