After several meetings, they carried out coordinated efforts including guidance activities and the deployment of emergency vehicles. The university’s Safety and Health Management Department also conducted campaigns to raise awareness about the importance of safety management during this period.
During the event, the university deployed about 250 staff and students daily to efficiently control the crowd gathering at the main stadium, while more than 100 police officers and firefighters were also deployed each day, resulting in a safe festival without major incidents.
Kim Jong-seok, Director of the Student Affairs Office, said, "Since many students and local residents gathered, we were able to hold an accident-free festival thanks to close cooperation among related agencies and the efforts of all members. We will strive to further establish Jeonbuk National University’s Daedongje as a more mature regional festival that has become a festival for the local community."
President Yang Oh-bong stated, "I am pleased and grateful that we were able to hold the Daedongje festival, which unites the university and the region, grandly and without any minor accidents on the occasion of the university’s 77th anniversary this year. We will further develop Daedongje into a harmonious feast that creates newness as one with the university and the region and challenges the future."
