Yeongdeok-gun Operates Support Program for Youth Overdependent on Digital Media

The Youth Counseling and Welfare Center in Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk, is operating the programs "Na·Hon·Jo (I Control Myself)" and "Se·U·Haeng (Our Smart Journey)" targeting 100 elementary, middle, and high school students in the district, starting with Yeonghae Elementary School from this month until October as part of the digital media harm recovery support project for youth.

Yeongdeok-gun Operates Support Program for Youth Overdependent on Digital Media Yeongdeok County Youth Counseling and Welfare Center operating a program for the prevention and resolution of digital media overdependence.

Accordingly, the center plans to promote this project by visiting schools in the district, focusing on helping youth use media properly and develop self-regulation skills.


Choi Dae-hwan, director of the center (Head of Family Support Division), stated, "As the issue of media overdependence among youth has become a serious social problem, we will strive to identify overdependent youth early and provide prompt, customized counseling services so that young people can lead healthy media lives."
