The Muan County Council in Jeollanam-do (Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun) announced that it has opened the 293rd extraordinary session for an eight-day schedule from the 10th to the 17th.
During this extraordinary session, seven bills proposed by council members, including the "Ordinance on Supporting Family Care and Youth in Muan County," and ten agenda items submitted by the executive branch, including the "Partial Amendment to the Ordinance on the Management of Public Property in Muan County," will be reviewed.
Additionally, the resolution urging the amendment of the "Special Act on Support for Victims of Jeonse Fraud and Housing Stability," which was primarily proposed by Councilor Kim Bong-seong, was adopted unanimously.
Chairman Kim Kyung-hyun stated, "Our Muan County is facing many difficulties due to the relocation of Gwangju Military Airport to Muan and the attraction of Mokpo National University College of Medicine, but we will ensure that the voices of the residents are reflected in policies as much as possible," adding, "We will continue to strive to prevent unfair treatment of residents through checks and supervision of the executive branch."
Meanwhile, on the 17th, the 2nd plenary session will be held to make the final decisions on the matters reviewed and approved by the standing committees, concluding this extraordinary session.
